I did it. If I can do it anyone can. I to a domain name and it is all set up ready to roll! That was my first step. It was semi-easy but if you follow the step by step instructions you can do it. My domain name for my WordPress blog is http://www.coffeebeananblogs.com (Coffee, Beana, and Blogs – .com)Just in case you wanted me to tell you what it means. I am a offcial Dot Com owner! Omg I am so excited!!!

It took a two days and a ton of perseverance to learn how to set it up but I did it. I am sorry to gloat but holy geez this is huge for me!

I already had my existing WordPress account and I was interested in making money off of it so I did a little research on the internet and got some advice from each site I went to.

1. The first thing you need to do is get a domain name. If you already have a blog you are on your way so all you need to do is add the domain name. I got mine from GoDaddy.com. You can make up whatever you want it to be and they will do a search to let you know if it is available or not.

2. Since I already had a WordPress account the cost to buy a domain name from GoDaddy was $13.00 for the year. I figured let me start out with the basic one year subscription and then if I can get it going I’ll buy the bigger plan.  After you follow the step by step instructions to buying your domain name you must map that domain name to your WordPress account. It took a couple of days of trial and error but if you follow the steps your domain name will be routed right to your WordPress account.
