I’m sitting here with my eldest who is 9 and we are watching Iron Man (1) for the one millionth time. Just something as simple as this is making him so happy. Yes I admit I am on the laptop also but I have one ear glued to the tv in case he gives me the 50 question test on what is going on in the movie. Like he did just now lol. I must say even though my life is far from perfect and it’s not exactly where I planned on being at this stage in the game but for the most part I am pretty happy and content with what I have. The key is definitely making the best and most out of every situation, be grateful and kind, and take life one day at a time.

Drink that water
Recently I was put on blood pressure medicine for….high blood pressure wooo. Never thought in my life that day would come but it did. I am trying to take care of myself better so I can eventually get off of it. I don’t eat terrible but I think the combination of my age(42), the stress that I am under, and the yo yo eating habits I’m on contributed to causing the high blood pressure. With that being said, since I’ve been on the bp medicine I have been feeling achy, my neck and back have been hurting, but even before the medicine I was feeling those same symptoms coming on so I went for blood work and it turns out that my kidneys were showing that I have not been drinking enough water. Now I know the benefits of drinking water and how important it is but for some stupid reason I never did. Well for the past 3 days I have increased my water intake probably by 85% and let me tell you I am starting to feel like a different person. My neck stopped hurting, my bones stopped aching, my lower back is starting to feel better. All because of water. I am your average run of the mill mom and my advice to whoever is reading this, if you are feeling a little off increase your water consumption. Start there first and see how you feel just after 3 days. It is such a simple solution to a problem that you would never think could go away or be so easily solved.
Tasty tuna melt and crisp waffle fries(all gluten-free)

One word to sum this up and that is yum! I made your basic tuna fish, with chopped onions and celery, with a couple of shakes of garlic powder and pepper, oh and of course mayonnaise(about 2 tbsp). Mix in a bowl and season to your liking, as I always do. Next toast up a delish Gillian’s French Roll and voila!
Gillian’s French Gluten-Free Rolls
Okay from my taste buds to yours, I tested tasted another gluten-free product. I am giving Gillian’s French Rolls a thumbs up! I feel like I struck gold. They are light and fluffy, 130 calories, 4g of fat, 20 carbs and so ridiculously filling!!
If you are trying to lose weight I really think cutting down on products with gluten in them is the way to go. I feel less bloated and have a tremendous amount of energy.
