This is how we do it

This is just one portion of our life and what we do. About twice a month my boyfriend buys cars and trucks from auctions and we combine the run to pick up the vehicle with a short getaway.

These trips vary any where from 1 to 6 hours and sometimes out of state. We actually have a really good time and it’s great alone time.

This trip was to New Jersey and our plan was to stop in Philly to get an authentic philly cheese steak sammy but our freakin GPS broke! Yes I know right when we were in Philadelphia!! Argh. Then we didn’t get to our hotel until almost 12 in the morning.

Yeah crazy and by the time we got up the next morning and got on the road we had to head back home in order to beat that snow storm.

Any way, I went to my final presentation/interview this morning at the Y and by this time tomorrow I’ll know if I got the job.

I’m nervous and its crazy because I want this job so bad but you know the saying, be careful what you wish for…. I don’t know why I’m getting cold feet now.

I guess I’ll wrap this up for now. I’m wicked tired, drained, nervous, and anxious all rolled into one.

I have about 4.2 mins to write this post.

Everything can change in the blink of an eye. Moods, emotions, circumstances, etc. It is all about how you deal with those changes.

You make them worse when you don’t take a deep breath and analyze.

Ask yourself is whatever just happened or happening worth stressing or worrying over?

Sometimes, yes it is. Other times probably not.

Take that deep breath. Relax and re-group.

You’re motoring

Okay so we didn’t go to Motor’s for breakfast because we were running out of time and had a lot to do but we did make it to Arthur’s for lunch! I had the chicken pesto wrap and Mike had the turkey club. So freakin delicious.

Why in the world didn’t I take any pics? Ugh. It’s probably because I’m so hungry and eat so fast then forget lol. But I did get a pic of the snow blowing up on Bartow Hill. Wow! The wind was a howling.

Any how we are taking a road trip to Glassboro NJ but we are going to pass through Philadelphia woot woot and I told him we have to stop and get some Philly cheese steak sammys somewhere. Sooo I’ll make sure I get some pics then.

Well for now I have to hit the hay. Tomorrow is my day to shadow the Community Educator who will hopefully  be hiring me for the Herkimer position.

Monday is my final interview. Da, da, da, daaaaa……..keeping fingers crossed!

 

 

Good Morning everyone

Hey everyone good morning! Well it’s the day after my 45th bday and I have to say the chemicals in my body or maybe it’s the position of the moon but I’m feeling pretty damn good.

I’m running off now to take the rugrats to school and then to Mikes. Working a little bit today in the garage but off to Motor’s Diner first (our fav breakfast place). How can anyone not recognize that the simple pleasures in life are sometimes the most rewarding?

Boys are crying because they wanted another snow day lol. Fat chance boys off to school you go!

Anyway take time for yourself today to get yourself together and regroup if you are having a not so good morning in your mind. Take care of you. Sometimes all it takes is 5 or 10 mins to sit, relax, drink your coffee or tea, and put on your favorite tunes. Do it!!!

Okay, I have to go clean the snow off my car and do some shoveling. Brrrr…. love it though and I wouldn’t trade upstate NY for anything. I gotta have my change of seasons.
